- "Aged in bourbon barrels, to which spices from the Caribbean have been added, Bumbu is a rum distilled in Panama.
- The recipe for Bumbu XO has been passed down from generation to generation since the 16th century.
- This brandy owes its name to a rum that has existed for over 400 years, the "Bumbu", originally made by sailors and merchants from the Antilles. It was in fact created by navigators who one day had the brilliant idea of marrying and blending several Caribbean distillates.
- At the time, sailors created a very special recipe by mixing fruits, local plants and spices with their rum. The result is an explosion of flavors in the mouth. Hence the origin of the name: "Bumbu".
- This exceptional product was distilled in a column still and then matured for 18 long years, first in Bourbon barrels. It was then finished in Hispanic white oak casks, previously containing sherry.
- The palate reveals aromas of vanilla, toasted oak and toffee that gradually give way to a hint of orange zest, spices dominated by pepper and a small touch of coffee."
