"Champagne ratafia is a wine obtained by mutage. This means that the winemaker adds marc champenois (a Champagne eau-de-vie with a neutral taste) to the grape must (unfermented grape juice obtained after pressing).
  
As an aperitif, Ratafia Champenois IG Club 1911 reveals sweet and powerful notes of prune and gingerbread as well as warm nuances of honey and candied fruit.
