- "Created in 1850, in Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte currently extends over 21 hectares, facing the town of Sancerre and its geological fault.
- Backed by the village of Saint-Satur, on the banks of the Loire, the vineyard has always represented the gateway to the Sancerre appellation.
- The idea of converting the vineyard to organic farming appeared in 1990, following a succession of whims of Nature. Taking care of this heritage has therefore become a priority by practicing viticultural techniques to ensure the sustainability of the vineyard.
- The Sancerre vineyard has therefore been certified as Organic Agriculture since 2013.
- Since 1986, Domaine Laporte has been the property of the Bourgeois Family, winegrowers in Chavignol.
- Each generation that has worked on the estate has been able to contribute its know-how, vintage after vintage. The plot-by-plot vinification historically applied to the estate is a distinctive element and is at the origin of a wide range, the basis of the reputation of our Laporte wines present on the finest tables in France and abroad.
- This Pouilly-Fumé comes from the hillsides of the prestigious wine-growing villages of SaintLaurent L'Abbaye and Saint-Père. These hillsides, made up of a mixture of limestone and flint, benefit from optimal sunshine.
- Aging of the wine on its fine lees for 5 months - Bottling under nitrogen - Use of natural corks - Aging for at least one month before marketing.
- This great Loire wine has fine and developed aromas of citrus fruits mixed with scents of flint.
- On the palate, the clean and light attack gives way to a well-balanced roundness accompanied by a beautiful freshness supported by notes of citrus fruits.
- It is then the aging in bottles that gives the Pouilly its "smoky" aromas."
