It was only in 2011 that its level of thyuone (a molecule present in the plant which, in high doses, was supposed to make you crazy ) is set at a maximum of 35 mg/kg. Highly appreciated for its absinthe taste and its green reflections, this alcohol has attracted many artists including Van Gogh, Baudelaire, Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Oscar Wilde...
