- "The Château du Rouët was once a Templar farm and then a former coaching inn. A few years before the revolution, the Marquis de V fell in love with this Château, he hunted there regularly and decided to plant vines and olive trees there.
- In 1840, the Château du Rouët was bought by the family that currently owns it. The property is made up of more than 1000 hectares of forest, allowing it to earn income from the sale of maritime pine wood and its cork harvest.
- In 1927, after a major fire devastated the Estérel from Mandelieu to La Motte. Lucas Savatier decided to protect the forest by clearing firebreak trenches and planting them with vines and peach trees.
- After 1945, the estate began selling wine and significantly expanded its production in the 1960s.
- In 1990, Martin Savatier modernized the vineyard and contributed to the birth of the Fréjus appellation. It has allowed the Château to make a name for itself in France and abroad.
- In addition to its activity as a winegrower - breeder, Château du Rouët has developed a trading activity under the brand "Le Rouët", "Coeur du rouët", "Teres". These high-end wines are closely linked to the image of the château. They are produced by winegrower partners who respect their vines and their terroirs. Bottling in the cellars finalizes this collaboration, a guarantee of quality, expression of the terroir and family know-how.
- For this red wine, the vinification is traditional with maceration in punching down and pumping over.
- Red wine with cherry highlights. Scents of red fruits.
- Good balance on the palate, with spicy notes."
