  • "It was out of love for the Earth that Gérard and Monique Biancone decided in 1983 to acquire the woods of Rasque, a Provençal countryside overlooking Taradeau in the Var.
  • Gérard, originally a mason, with his wife Monique, who comes from a family of Bordeaux winegrowers, are keen to create a traditional vineyard in the heart of Provence.
  • In 1992 a reception room, tasting room and a Lightning room were built to accommodate and age red wines in good conditions. The 150m2 underground aging cellar was built by the Compagnons du Devoir in order to maintain an optimal temperature for the reds which will be aged in oak barrels.
  • One of their daughters, Sophie Courtois-Biancone, took over management of the 100 ha estate in 2006, including 30 planted with vines. She will be accompanied by her brother Enzo in 2018, to be helped in communication and management of the family estate.
  • The conversion to organic farming is underway.
  • After having harvested all the grapes by hand, the harvest is taken to the pneumatic press ensuring light crushing. After a few hours of maceration, in order to best extract the aromas, the flexibility of the pneumatic press extracts the must which will ferment in thermo-regulated vats.
  • Intense, elegant, fresh aromas at first nose, then we discover floral and fruity notes (lemon, pink grapefruit) as well as notes of dried fruits (almond and hazelnut).
  • Direct, supple and nervous mouthfeel. We indeed find citrus fruits."
