- "Created in 1850, in Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte currently extends over 21 hectares, facing the town of Sancerre and its geological fault.
- Backed by the village of Saint-Satur, on the banks of the Loire, the vineyard has always represented the gateway to the Sancerre appellation.
- The idea of converting the vineyard to organic farming appeared in 1990, following a succession of whims of Nature. Caring for this heritage has therefore become a priority by practicing viticultural techniques to ensure the sustainability of the vineyard.
- The Sancerre vineyard has therefore been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2013.
- Since 1986, Domaine Laporte has been owned by the Bourgeois family, winegrowers in Chavignol.
- Each generation that has worked on the estate has brought its know-how, vintage after vintage. The plot vinification historically applied to the estate is a distinctive element and is at the origin of an extensive range, the basis of the notoriety of our Laporte wines present on the finest tables in France and abroad.
- Le Rochoy is a unique hillside in Sancerre. It was once a Gallo-Roman quarry called "Rochetum". The flint stones that litter the ground accumulate heat during the day and release it at night. The subsoil, made up of flint, gives this vintage all its minerality. The grapes ripen quickly and produce an exceptional white Sancerre.
- Harvesting by hand preserves the grapes.
- The nose expresses beautiful white flowers and very ripe yellow-fleshed fruits with a hint of angelica (small candied fruit).
- The palate presents a beautiful, very expressive and balanced freshness. The minerality of the flint comes through with a slight smokiness on the palate.
- Rochoy develops superb fullness and astonishing generosity."
