  • "La Suffrene is above all a family estate combining tradition and modernity. The vines have been in the family for over a century. It was after the war that Mr Piche, a young farmer, began developing the vineyard. He is one of the pioneers of the Bandol appellation. His grandson, Cédric Gravier, took over the business in 1996 and built the cellar as it exists today. From that date on, he has managed the production and marketing of his wines.
  • Harvest: Manual.
  • Aging: 12 months with 2 or 3 rackings and pre-blends, malolactic fermentation on fine lees in recent round tuns, end of 6-month aging in older round tuns (over 30 years old).
  • Nose: Fresh and open, aromas of ripe red fruits and spicy notes.
  • Palate: Powerful, typical of Bandol in this sunny vintage, structured, finish persistent and spicy, very nice vintage."
