- "Château Les Mesclances extends its 35 hectares of vines at the foot of the Massif des Maures, in the heart of a 110-hectare estate, in the Var commune of La Crau in the Var.
- Detached in 1802, following the family division of an estate owned since 1530 by the family of Sieur de Boutiny, ancestor of the current owners, Les Mesclances have developed.
- Today, Arnaud and Elisabeth de Villeneuve Bargemon have new and great ambitions for their property. Managing the estate since 2009, and helped by their daughter Sophie, they have endeavored to make Chateau Les Mesclances worthy of its ancestral past.
- This vineyard of an area of 33 ha. is in organic farming, they also cultivate fig trees and olive trees.
- The winemaking tradition of Mesclances is old to say the least. Alerted by the presence of many pieces of land cooked on one of the hillsides of the property, archaeologists carried out excavations. Well Seen! They revealed the presence of an old Roman wine farm. "We found in particular cisterns and even amphora bases almost a meter in diameter", says the owner of the place.
- Vinification: Direct pressing after a maceration of a few hours. Fermentation in oak barrels followed by aging for 8 months on lees with regular stirring.
- On the nose we find a beautiful complexity, buttery mineral and slightly vanilla.
- The mouth is round, of an elegant amplitude and endowed with a beautiful length."
