- "Château de Beaucastel has long been considered one of the greatest wines of France and is unanimously renowned for its balance, its elegance and its ability to age. Beaucastel has an extraordinary terroir at the northern tip of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, very exposed to the Mistral. The thirteen grape varieties of the appellation have been cultivated organically there since the 1960s.
- Each grape variety is picked separately, by hand. Vinification takes place in truncated conical wooden vats for the reductive grape varieties (Syrah, Mourvèdre) and in traditional concrete and enameled sandstone vats for the oxidative grape varieties (Grenache). At the end of the malolactic fermentations, the Perrin family proceeds to blend the different grape varieties, then the wine will age in oak barrels for a year before being stored.
- Lovely spicy nose of pepper, garrigue, bay leaf and dry herbs.
- Elegant palate with notes of leather and wax. The attack is ample, the tannins structured and soft."
