- "Daughter of one of the greatest wine-growing families in Burgundy, Francine Picard took over the estate historically run by her father in the late 1990s. Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve extends over the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, in the heart of the most beautiful climates and terroirs of Burgundy wine.
- In a desire for synergy between the land and the wines, Francine Picard cultivates her plots in accordance with the principles of biodynamics and applies herself with passion and extreme attention to producing wines that reflect the identity of their terroir.
- Coming from a vineyard of an area of 110 hectares worked in "agro-ecology", the chardonnay and pinot noir of Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve are recognized for their quality, precision and elegance.
- Since May 2019, Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, specialist in viticulture biodynamic, joined the Domaine team as Technical Director.
- Harvested and sorted manually, the grapes are destemmed and then sent to the vats in small stainless steel wagons so as not to damage them.
- In keeping with the Burgundy tradition, the vinification is carried out in open, temperature-controlled vats.
- This Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Le Charmois" 2019 is aged for 15 months, including 12 months in wood (30% new barrels). Bottling is carried out after light filtration.
- Authentically expressing the characteristics of the grape variety, this Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Le Charmois" 2019 has a lovely ruby color with subtle pink highlights.
- The complex and floral notes of the nose are found when tasting this lively and charming wine."
