"Roger Zannier, owner of Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro for more than 25 years, acquired Château Saint-Maur in 2011 with the ambition of making it a benchmark for Côtes de Provence wines.
  
Saint-Maur is a noble castle steeped in history... it was built at the end of the 19th century, and inherited its name from an ancient monastery established on the estate. There remains a chapel erected on the grounds of the estate.
  
Located a few kilometers from Saint-Tropez, Château Saint-Maur has benefited from the Cru Classé designation since 1955.

Aged for 3 months in Provence white wine oak barrels.
  
On the nose, top notes of vanilla, then aromas of white port and candied banana.
  
On the palate, exotic, slightly smoky and woody notes. Very nice length.
  
Light and pleasant sweetness on the finish and very refreshing."
