"Created in 1859 by Mr. Louis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot has always been located in the heart of Beaune, in the heart of the vineyards. Housed in a 19th century mansion, it has superb cellars connected to the Couvent des Jacobins located a stone's throw away.
  
Run by three generations of Jadot, then for 30 years by Mr. André Gagey, the House is now in the hands of his son Pierre-Henry assisted by Mr. Jacques Lardière, the House's oenologist for more than 40 years, before passing the torch to Mr. Frédéric Barnier.
  
The commune of Auxey-Duresses is located in the heart of the Côte d'Or between Monthélie to the north and Meursault to the south. It produces mostly white wines.
  
The harvest is manual in small crates in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then gently pressed and fermented in the barrels of our cooperage, a third of which are new. The aging lasts about 15 months on fine lees before preparation for bottling."
